Dear all,
Below are the details for this week's physical training session. This training will mainly compose of campcraft to help us stay up-to-date with the current syllabus. We encourage all of you to use the given resources to prepare/practice as much as you can before the session
Date: 23 August 2024
Reporting Venue: Foyer 2
Duration: 1500 hours to 1730 hours
Batch 54:
Attire: PT Kit (Unit Tee)
Sec 1s, we will be doing a recap on your full turning drills. To further strengthen your foundation knowledge, we will be holding a special quiz to test what you know! Following that, we will have a campcraft session to revise on the knots you have already learnt. In addition, you will be learning 2 more types of knots: Bowline and Manharness!
Batch 53:
Attire: Full NPCC Uniform
Sec 2s, you will practice your dressing drills and sizing drills as a bit of a refresher. After that, you will fall into the classroom to practice your campcraft knowledge. For this session, you will be aiming to tie the Timber hitch and Square lashing. Make sure to give it your all!
Batch 52:
Attire: Full NPCC Uniform
Sec 3s, as we are rather lacking in our campcraft knowledge, this training will be mainly centered on practicing how to tie the knots, as well as theory. After a brief run through of the knots we have practiced last week (loop knots, stopper knots, bends), we will be going through some of the knots that we have seen you struggling with a bit (bowline, sheet bend, tent guy loop and manharness). Then, we will be going through shortening formations, hitches and coils. It will be a tedious session, but do not give up! Following that, you will help out the rest of the CLs to prepare for AGD this Saturday.
